Dr. Douglas Evans
Dr. Douglas Evans was born in Kankakee, Illinois. At age five his family moved to Swaziland, Africa. After high school he returned to the USA, graduated from Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany Oklahoma then completed medical school at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed pediatric residency at The University of Oklahoma, Tulsa. Dr. Evans has been in Practice in St. Joseph since 1996.
Dr. Sibyl Downing
Dr. Downing graduated from King City High School. She attended Undergraduate and Medical School at UMKC. She completed her residency at East Carolina University in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She worked in St. Joseph practicing internal medicine and pediatrics before going to work in Kansas City at Children’s Mercy Hospital Urgent Care. Dr. Downing is married and has five children.
Dianne Castle, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, was raised in Savannah, MO. She graduated from Savannah High School in 1986 and moved on to the University of Missouri in Columbia to study nursing. In 1990 she graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors degree in Nursing. From there, Dianne moved to Kansas City and worked at Children’s Mercy Hospital from 1990 to 1995 as a registered nurse in their Newborn ICU, Emergency Department and doing air and ground transport for there Newborn ICU,. While she was working she was attending graduate school and completed her Master’s in Nursing and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification in 1995. In 1992, Dianne got married and moved back “home”. Since 1995 Dianne has been working in St. Joseph as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She also taught nursing at Missouri Western State University. She has been married to her husband Kevin for over 20 years, and they have 2 children, Marnie and Max. She and Dr. Evans have been working together for over 10 years.
